Quick Fact Friday 2018.11.23
Posted on Nov 23rd, 2018

Colonel William Moultrie commanded a small but brave army of patriots that successfully held off the British Royal Navy. This allowed Colonel William Thomson and his men to stop thousands of British soldiers from crossing Breach Inlet and attacking from the land side on June 28, 1776. To learn more about this historical event, visit the Historical Markeron Sullivan's Island, and read about it on the Mount Pleasant Historical mobile app and on the Town's website. More to come on William Moultrie's bravery in next week's Quick Fact Friday!
