1. Jasper Green and Sergeant William Jasper
2. Moultrie Schools & General William Moultrie
3. Hibben House and British Occupation
4. 54th Massachusetts Regiment
5. Mount Pleasant Home for Destitute Children
6. Alhambra Hall
7. Friendship AME Church
8. Laing School
9. St. Andrew's Church
10. Etiwan Masonic Lodge
More information on this tour and "The Bridgeside Tour" presented last week, including maps, complete list of stops, and images, can be found on mountpleasanthistorical.org. Additionally, a walking tour of the Old Village, developed by Moultrie Middle School Wellness Committee can be found on the Town of Mount Pleasant website.
Whether you dedicate an afternoon to the Old Village tour or break it up into smaller segments, you're sure to come away with a greater appreciation of Mount Pleasant's early history. Enjoy!
